Do I need an electrician to install this?
An electrician is not typically required because Balvolt™ systems are plug-in lighting kits and do not involve hard-wiring when installed as directed.
However, installation involves ladders, mounting hardware, and power equipment. For safety and best results, we recommend installation by a qualified handyman, contractor, or licensed professional. If you have electrical concerns, complex layouts, or local code requirements, consult a licensed electrician before installation.
How bright is the system, and will it fully light my garage?
Yes. The Balvolt™ system is engineered to replace traditional shop lights entirely. Each kit outputs high, uniform brightness with no shadows or flicker. One full kit easily lights a standard 1–2 car garage, workshop, or display area.
What comes in the box?

How long does installation take, and can I do it alone?
Installation time varies depending on layout size, mounting surface, and installer experience. Most installs take approximately 1–4 hours.
While a single experienced installer may be able to complete the setup, Balvolt™ strongly recommends having two people present for lifting, alignment, and safety when working on ladders or ceilings. Professional installation is recommended for all installations to help ensure proper mounting, alignment, and safe setup.
Always use proper tools and safety precautions, and do not attempt installation if you are unsure about any part of the process.
Is the system suitable for garages, workshops, or warmer environments?
Balvolt™ lighting systems are designed for typical residential garage and workshop use when installed and operated according to the provided instructions. Components are built with heat-resistant materials, and the included power supply features active cooling to help manage normal operating temperatures.
Environmental conditions can vary widely, so installers should ensure adequate ventilation, proper mounting, and appropriate clearance from combustible materials. The system is intended for indoor use only and should not be installed in areas exceeding recommended operating conditions or where excessive heat buildup may occur.

What is the warranty, and what does it cover?
Every Balvolt™ kit includes a limited 3-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use, including LED components, the power supply, connectors, and structural hardware. If a covered defect occurs, we’ll repair or replace the affected part in accordance with our full Warranty Policy. Installation damage, misuse, or environmental conditions outside intended use are not covered.
